Why does Absolutely Altinkum need support?

Absolutely Altinkum is a privately run, non-commercial site set up by Lynn and Keith to provide a meeting place or community for people with a love of Turkey, Altinkum and its environs.  As we do not have any business interests in Turkey and do not allow commercial advertising we feel our forum is able to offer members objective and impartial advice. 

As the site's popularity has grown so have the operating costs. We are constantly expanding the bandwidth and there are further modifications we need to make to the forum. Some of these are to help us keep out the bogus members who want to access members details for their business interests.

Up until now we have funded the forum out of our own pockets without donations, but the forum is growing so fast we now find the costs are getting onerous. However, we do not envisage needing ongoing donations. We just need some short term help to enable us to get the modifications we need on the forum,  set up a realistic hosting package re: the bandwidth and get a support/backup  package in place. 

Any and all contributions will be greatly appreciated and these are purely voluntary. We will advise members how the donations have been used and we will never use any funds for any purpose other than to benefit the forum/members.
