Forum Search

Hi

Has anyone else had any problems carrying out searches on this forum?

I can do a search OK and can see the first page OK.

However, if I want to go to the next page, I get the message

Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes.

I have cleared my cookies but I still have the same problem.

I have not tried it on another PC.

Can anyone help?
Tom

It's working as it should for me.

What browsers are people using?

I'm using IE8. I have also tried Mozilla Firefox 3.6.9 and I'm getting the same problem.

I also get this from time to time, but find if you click on search again straight away the page does load.

It's OK if you wait a few minutes, but the problem is when the search results run onto multiple pages.

One can only see the first page. You get the error clicking on the 2nd or subsequent page.
So, you are snookered.
Don't really want to create a new topic if the topic has already been covered.

I find that strange Tom as I have just done a search on 'insurance' which brought up 199 pages and I got into each one I tried the first time. That being the case I don't think the fault lies with the forum although I do find it strange that a number of people appear to be having a similar problem.

I'll ask John our technical guru for his thoughts on this.

What? You tried all 199?

Well done Keith!! That is what I call dedication.

Yeah dream on Tom! lol

I've had an initial response from John and he thinks it is most likely to be a local browser issue with your PC but he will look into it further when he gets the chance.
